Notes:
Katherine Gordon Wolfe was born probably 1834 or 1835
Middlesex, Westminster
............resident Woolwich Dockyard (1851 census)
daughter of Katherine (widow 1851 census) and ???? Wolfe.
She married George Caleb Eyre Powell
1861.Jan-Mar... Lewisham..... 1d 689
In 1861, William was in boarding school, some 13 years younger than her.
It is presumed he had eminent relatives in Ireland
and they may have gone there to live.
It is presumed he (george) died there.
William is shown on Cambridge University Alumni
as being a deacon or curate in England
so may have popped over to Ireland with the
intent of marrying Katherine, or been in
Ireland anyway where they met, They married early 1875
It is presumed they returned to England
where he practised until she died and he remarried,
and he died in 1940, in Bournemouth.
Have been unable to find either of them in the 1881 census
when he appears to be practising in Maidstone, Kent.
