The Reverend Robert Watton, of the parishes of Langton, Worth and Kingston was advised, after concern was expressed for his health, that he should rest. In October 2003 he left the parishes after 13 years as rector, to retire to Devon.

It is with deep regret that we
announce he passed away on the
4th August 2004, aged 59.

His funeral was in St.James' Kingston on the 16th August, and he was committed to the churchyard.

He will be greatly missed.
